WHAT AERIUS ORODISPERSIBLE TABLETS AND WHAT IT IS USED
Aerius orodispersible tablet is an antiallergic drug that does not cause drowsiness. It helps to control allergic reactions and symptoms.
Aerius orodispersible tablet relieves symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (inflammation of the nasal passages caused by allergies such as hay fever or allergy to dust mites). These symptoms include sneezing, itchy nose, itchy palate, and itchy, red or watery eyes.
Aerius orodispersible tablets are used to relieve the symptoms of urticaria (a skin condition caused by an allergy). These symptoms include itching and hives.
Relief of these symptoms lasts a full day and helps you to resume your normal daily activities and sleep.
BEFORE YOU TAKE AERIUS ORODISPERSIBLE TABLETS
Do not take Aerius orodispersible tablets
. if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to desloratadine or any of the other ingredients of Aerius orodispersible tablets, or to loratadine.
Aerius 5 mg orodispersible tablets are intended for adults and adolescents (12 years).
Take special care with Aerius orodispersible tablets:
. If your kidney function is impaired.

Taking other medicines
There are no known interactions between Aerius and other drugs.
Taking Aerius orodispersible tablets with food and drinks.
No need Aerius orodispersible tablets can be taken with water or other liquid. In addition, Aerius orodispersible tablets can be taken with or without food.
Pregnancy and lactation
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding is not recommended to take Aerius.
Driving and operating machinery
At the recommended dose, Aerius is not expected to cause sleepiness or less alert. However, very rarely some people experience drowsiness, which may affect their ability to drive and use machines.

This product contains aspartame. Aspartame is a source of phenylalanine, which may be harmful for people with phenylketonuria.
HOW TO TAKE AERIUS ORODISPERSIBLE TABLETS
Before using, carefully peel open the blister and remove the dose of orodispersible tablet without crushing it.
Place it in your mouth, it will instantly dissolve. You do not need to drink water or other liquids to swallow medicine.
Adults and adolescents (over 12 years): one orodispersible tablet Aerius 5 mg once daily. Take the dose immediately after removal from the blister.
Regarding the duration of treatment - your doctor will determine the type of allergic rhinitis you are suffering from and depending on how long you decide to take Aerius orodispersible tablets.
If you suffer from intermittent allergic rhinitis (presence of symptoms for less than 4 days per week or for less than 4 weeks), your doctor will recommend a treatment regimen consistent with data on the course of your disease.
If you suffer from persistent allergic rhinitis (presence of symptoms for 4 days or more per week and for more than 4 weeks), your doctor may recommend a longer treatment.
Between patients with urticaria may need different treatment duration and therefore should follow the instructions of your doctor.
If you take more than the dose of Aerius orodispersible tablets
Take Aerius orodispersible tablet only as prescribed for you. In case of accidental overdose, no major problems. However, if you take a higher dose of Aerius orodispersible tablet than you, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
If you forget to take Aerius orodispersible tablets
If you forget to take your dose of Aerius time, take it as soon as possible, then go back to your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for forgotten individual doses.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Aerius can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. In adults, side effects are the same as with a dummy. However, adverse events were reported more frequently than in the intake, fatigue, dry mouth and headache. In adolescents, the most frequently reported adverse event was headache.
During the marketing of Aerius, cases of severe allergic reactions (difficulty breathing, wheezing, itching, hives and swelling). Cases of palpitations, rapid heartbeat, stomach pain, nausea (feeling sick), vomiting, upset stomach, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, insomnia, muscle pain, hallucinations, seizures, restlessness with increased body movement, liver inflammation and abnormal liver function tests have also been reported very rarely.

HOW TO STORE AERIUS ORODISPERSIBLE TABLETS
To keep out of reach of children.
Store in original container.
Do not use Aerius orodispersible tablet after the expiry date stated on the carton and blister.
The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
If you notice a change in the appearance of Aerius orodispersible tablets, tell your pharmacist.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste.
Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
What Aerius orodispersible tablets
The active substance is desloratadine 5 mg.
The other ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, butylated methacrylate copolymer, crospovidone, sodium hydrogen carbonate, citric acid, colloidal silicon dioxide, iron oxide, mannitol, aspartame (E951), flavor Tutti-Frutti.
